Caterpillar urges the government not to press China on the yuan

Caterpillar and other exporters in the U.S.-China Business Council are asking the government to ease off its pressure on China to increase the value of the yuan. The House is preparing legislation that would let companies seek higher tariffs on Chinese goods. "Some in Congress want to start a trade war and undermine our efforts to sell to our fastest-growing export market," said William Lane, director of government relations at Caterpillar.
