Ethanol-blended gas is on the decline in Minnesota

Minnesota has been a leading proponent of E85 ethanol fuel, but after years of steady demand, interest appears to be waning in the state. Sales of E85 dropped 25% from its highest level in 2008, as newer forms of alternative energy are developed. Supporters, however, remain optimistic that E85 will regain its place in the market as consumers seek out more environment-friendly fuels and flex-fuel vehicles begin to grow in popularity.
