Mitt Romney's vagueness on the details of his economic, tax and health care proposals could cost him the election, senior conservatives say. Journalists are confused about Romney's plans, and that doesn't leave voters with much chance to understand them, pundits argue. "Mr. Romney's pre-existing political calculation seems to be that he can win the election without having to explain the economic moment or even his own policies ... such vagueness carries its own political risks," notes The Wall Street Journal's editorial board.
