Jet Airways eyes Abu Dhabi as hub in Etihad deal

A commercial cooperation agreement with Etihad would see India's Jet Airways develop Abu Dhabi as a hub for flights to Africa, North America, South America, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada. The agreement means that the Indian carrier would have to route its services from its homeland through Abu Dhabi to Sharjah and Dubai; it would prevent codeshare agreements with third parties and force Jet Airways to break any existing similar pacts.
