Survey: Windows desktop developers asked to deliver mobile without compromise

Eighty-five percent of Microsoft Windows-focused developers have been asked to port their applications to mobile devices, without any drop in continuity, according to an Embarcadero survey. Developers were more often asked to port existing applications, but more than half (58%) were asked to produce new apps. In addition, Microsoft has acknowledged the popularity of IMAP on feature phones and Apple devices, and is adding IMAP to Outlook.com webmail, Alex Wilhelm writes.
