Lawmakers grapple with racial disparities in health care

Minority members of the U.S. Congress say widely documented disparities in health care between whites and minorities are a problem for all races because they drive up prices. At a meeting to discuss the problem, lawmakers noted research showing that even if minorities have good health insurance, they tend to get worse health care, and lawmakers shared the feeling that the situation didn't seem to be improving.
