Report: Out-of-home hot digital ad segment

Out-of-home digital media, also known as place-based television, will generate $1.2 billion in national ad sales this year -- the equivalent of a major network TV daypart, according to a new report from marketing consultants Profitable Channels. The report also said 700 digital out-of-home networks, in venues including stores, theaters and health clubs, have been created since 2002, with about 10 such networks being added each month.
