West Hollywood to spice up pride parade with monthlong festival

Seeking to make its pride event hipper and more reflective of the Los Angeles creative community, West Hollywood is proposing to transform the annual parade weekend into a monthlong series of arts, film, cultural and social events. "People like the parade and festival, but they want to know what's new," said West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman. "They want the latest, hippest and coolest."
