After broken back, teen pilot perseveres with flying

British teenager James Moon did not let a broken back deter him from his dream of obtaining a pilot's license. Moon, 16, suffered the injury while playing sports, and took several months to recuperate. "It was awful having to lie still for so long and having the cast and the brace on but the thought of being a pilot helped me through," said Moon, who made his first solo flight in a Piper Warrior PA-28.
