Banks respond to customers with expanded mobile offerings

Banks have been ramping up their mobile offerings as customer concerns about the security of wireless networks ease and more consumers want on-the-go banking services. Bank of America said its online banking customers are starting to embrace texting, applications for smartphones and other mobile services. Jim Bruene, founder of Online Banking Report, said that banking, because it is mostly text and numbers, is suited for mobile use.
