Leadership institute helps teachers improve education

Eight teachers from California's Santa Barbara County, including a National Board Certified Teacher, are participating in the Teachers Network Leadership Institute. The national organization aims to empower teachers and improve schooling. "It would be really easy to just be complacent and not strive to do more. These all teach you be a better teacher," one NBCT said of her affiliation with the leadership institute and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
