Permeable paving helps address water quality problems, flooding

Experts say permeable paving may solve the runoff problems that come with asphalt- and concrete-paved roadways. Aside from allowing rainwater to permeate through the soil and recharge aquifers, permeable paving also acts as a filter that prevents debris, garbage and other contaminants from flowing into nearby waterways.
