Rain gardens bloom in Oregon

A growing number of residents in Oregon are building landscaped rain gardens in their front yards to conserve water and reduce waste. Recognizing the trend, the Oregon State University issued the Oregon Rain Garden Guide to help those interested in building such gardens, which are designed to collect and reuse stormwater runoff as well as prevent flooding and provide a habitat for wildlife.
