Senate may vote on the small-business bill this week

The Senate is expected to pass the small-business bill this week. Lawmakers are also set to vote on proposals to eliminate or limit the provision of the health care law that requires additional 1099 tax-form filings. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and the Independent Community Bankers of America are among supporters of the bill that have urged Congress to take quick action this week after their return from recess.
