Chefs write manifesto on responsibilities to society, nature

A group of nine chefs from around the world have written an "Open Letter to the Chefs of Tomorrow," addressing what they call chefs' responsibility toward nature, society, knowledge and ethics, including an obligation to educate the public about food and healthy choices. "We dream of a future in which the chef is socially engaged, conscious of and responsible for his or her contribution to a just and sustainable society," the chefs write.
