Don't give up on Groupon's business model just yet

Groupon's business model has plenty of flaws, but that doesn't mean the daily-deals concept is completely without merit, writes Rob Go. It's possible to envision a successful, sustainable social-commerce business operating with less hype, lower revenue and more merchant loyalty. "Maybe one of the market leaders will become the company I have described .... Or maybe they will be the Lycos and Alta Vista heralding a future Google," Go writes.
