Quality of life influences survival in type 2 diabetes patients with acute MI

A combination of type 2 diabetes mellitus, myocardial infarction and low quality-of-life scores elevate mortality risk in men, experts reported at the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. Men and women with the diseases with higher quality-of-life scores had 88% to 90% survival rates, while men with low scores had a 77% survival rate, experts said.
