Teachers in Tacoma, Wash., continued to strike today, as school system officials asked a Superior Court judge for an injunction that would order the teachers back to work. Officials say the strike, which has canceled school for two days, is illegal. At issue is a change in teachers' contracts that would alter teacher transfers and reassignments, as well as how state cuts will be implemented, which could affect teacher pay and class sizes.
