Brocade trims workforce to focus on SDNs

Brocade has trimmed its workforce by 6.7%, laying off 300 employees, as part of a resource reallocation effort and cost-cutting initiative. The move is due to an effort to boost its software-defined and data center technology strategy, which the company launched over a year ago, the company said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
