England adds financial lessons to math, citizenship classes

The final version of England's national curriculum includes a focus on financial education in math classes and citizenship education for secondary-school students. The study of "financial mathematics," officials said, will include problems related to percentage changes and simple interest, and citizenship classes will include lessons on how to manage money and make financial decisions.
