Ga. district's gifted program takes student learning deeper

Students who are identified as gifted in Houston County schools in Georgia are using a new gifted-education program this school year. The district has replaced its weekly gifted-enrichment courses with a daily, full-time gifted curriculum. "It's not that they're going through the curriculum any faster," principal Doug Rizer said, "but they're going much deeper and with more rigor."
