Lobbyists work to sell Congress on energy storage

Next-generation energy storage might not be the hot topic in Washington, D.C., yet, but industry lobbyists such as Katherine Hamilton, the policy director of the Energy Storage Association, are doing everything they can to make it so. Hamilton says that as an important component of the smart grid, advanced energy storage deserves to enjoy the same regulatory benefits of renewable technologies such as solar and she's working with legislators to ensure the industry can benefit from tax credits for investments and R&D.
