NYC program pairs teachers with coders

Teachers in New York City are teaming up with coders under the Innovation Zone, or iZone program, while educators in other states are participating in similar efforts. In this interview, Steven Hodas, executive director of iZone's Innovate NYC Schools initiative, said that part of his goal is to work with teachers to find out what would help them in their jobs. The focus, he said, should not be on the technology tool but on what kinds of support teachers need in the classroom.
