Study: Sequester will cost 100,000 federal jobs

A new study from Goldman Sachs says that sequestration will eliminate 100,000 federal jobs, and that short-term measures such as furloughs and delays in training and other spending will be replaced by permanent cuts if the sequester isn't reversed. "If sequestration continues, more permanent adjustments will become necessary and agencies may be more willing to undertake them if Congress declines once again to reverse the cuts," the report said.
