Texas county commission seeks parkway-interstate flyover

The Montgomery County, Texas, Commission and state legislators are pushing the Texas Department of Transportation to accelerate a proposal to connect Interstate 45 and Grand Parkway, which is under construction. Officials want a westbound-to-northbound flyover sooner than 2037. "We have a desperate need for this connection in the South Montgomery County area to alleviate severe congestion currently being experienced on local roads, such as Rayford and Sawdust roads," state Rep. Steve Toth wrote in a letter to Texas Transportation Commission member Jeff Moseley.
