Analysis: WPP-Grey deal creates pressure for Havas

WPP Group's deal to buy Grey Global Group for $1.52 billion is creating four dominant global ad industry holding companies and leaving losing bidder Havas as a struggling fifth player, according to a Wall Street Journal report. The four premier companies are now WPP, New York's Omnicom Group and Interpublic Group, and France's Publicis Groupe, with France's Havas a likely acquisition target.
