Bayer forms marketing alliance with Schering-Plough

Bayer announced a deal that will have Schering-Plough take over U.S. sales of Bayer products Avelox, Cipro, Adalat and Levitra. Bayer will sell some Schering-Plough cancer products in the U.S. and Europe, and both will team up to sell Schering-Plough's Zetia cholesterol drug in Japan, once it is approved. The alliance is seen as the latest step in a major overhaul of Bayer's operations.
