Illinois toll highway project to renovate aging oases

Builders in Chicago are winning praise for transforming the bleak, 45-year-old O'Hare Oasis that sits above the Tri-State Tollway into a state-of-the-art destination with added convenience services for travelers. The project was part of Phase 1 of the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority's multi-year redesign project called the Oases Redevelopment Program, in which seven aging oases (motor service plazas) will be renovated.
