Hospitality can be a tough sell as career choice

The challenge of selling hospitality as a career path is perhaps the industry's biggest issue, said experts at the Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers conference. A hotel-industry career can be a tough sell because of the "perceived obstacles" in moving from front-line positions to supervisory roles, said Sarah George, training specialist for Excalibur Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
