New biomarkers may aid cancer detection

Researchers have identified a new group of biomarkers that may help detect and predict the progression of colorectal, prostate and lung cancers. "We are clearly moving to a better understanding of the genetics of cancer," the deputy chief medical officer at the American Cancer Society said, adding, "This change is evolutionary and revolutionary."
