Verizon Wireless challenges FCC spectrum-auction rules

Verizon Wireless has filed a lawsuit against the FCC, in opposition of the rules set forth in the upcoming spectrum auction that would require networks to be accessible to any device. The carrier asserts that the proposed rules are beyond the authority of the FCC. CTIA - The Wireless Association® has also voiced its opposition to the FCC's open-access plan.
