China vows to improve food safety following baby-milk powder crisis

China confirmed that contaminated milk powder has led to one infant death and kidney stones in at least 432 babies in the country. As stores across China pulled the product off shelves, a health official said food-safety supervision should be brought to "a new level." The FDA had previously issued a warning in the U.S. regarding baby formula made in China.
