New York governor asks Port Authority to take over Moynihan Station

New York governor David A. Paterson called on the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to take over development of the Moynihan Station. The subway station, named after former senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, now runs at or near capacity and needs to be expanded. The station serves as a stop for Amtrak, New Jersey Transit and the Long Island Rail Road.
