1 in 5 tweets are about brand names

After scouring 500,000 tweets, researchers at Penn State have determined that 20% of the messages sent over Twitter are about brands -- people asking for and providing information about products. "That would translate into 600,000 posts daily of direct relevance to brands," this blogger writes.
