Blog networks becoming big business

Some blog networks are reporting significant sales gains at a time when magazine revenue is plummeting. That success often doesn't come from ad sales alone. For example, Sugar, a network of a dozen blogs, earns half of its revenue from ShopStyle, an e-commerce site that it owns. While blogs can be uncharted territory for some marketers, networks of blogs under professional editorial control have some of the appeal of traditional media, according to this article.
