Group lists phones' emission levels, but scientific evidence indicates no health risk

The Environmental Working Group now lists on its Web site the amount of radiation emitted by U.S. cell phones, all of which comply with established FCC standards. The American Cancer Society is quick to point out that scientific evidence indicates there is no reason for concern that cell phones pose any health hazards. CTIA-The Wireless Association® spokesman John Walls said the industry complied with all government regulations concerning handsets, and he added, "The peer-reviewed scientific evidence has overwhelmingly indicated that wireless devices do not pose a public health risk ... leading global heath organizations ... all have concurred that wireless devices are not a public health risk."
