API backs measures against EPA's carbon-emissions plan

Jack Gerard, president and CEO of the American Petroleum Institute, has urged lawmakers to obstruct the Environmental Protection Agency's plan to regulate greenhouse-gas emissions. "Washington bureaucrats should not decide the energy policy of the United States," he said. API supports congressional measures to "limit EPA's ability to essentially reorder the American economy," Gerard added.
