Branded social games help marketers go deep

The New York Jets, Golden Nugget Casino and Hello Kitty parent company Sanrio are among the major marketers that are trying to boost engagement with consumers by creating branded online games. "You can build a really engaging experience around the brand in social games," said Ravi Mehta, vice president of product management at Viximo, a virtual goods company. "It's a lot deeper than just following the brand on Twitter and Facebook pages."
