DOT data show 3 flights exceeded tarmac delay limits in July

In July 2009, 161 flights were delayed on the tarmac for more than three hours. This July, just three flights, all by AMR's Eagle division, were reported to exceed limits set by the government. "This rule making seems to point to a significant drop in long tarmac delays," said Shane Downey, director of public policy for the National Business Travel Association. "It's very good for the business traveler."
