Lowe's sets its sights on smaller DIY projects

Lowe's has revamped its strategy in the wake of an uncertain economy that has consumers staying in their homes longer and focusing on smaller projects such as painting and re-carpeting, the home-improvement chain said. The retailer also plans a nationwide expansion of its efforts to help customers save on power bills with products that measure, reduce and generate energy.
