Microsoft lags in mobile search

Microsoft is having a difficult time luring users to its mobile search options, despite a five-year deal with Verizon meant to put its search engine front-and-center with many mobile users. Only 1.7% of U.S. mobile users in July had deployed Microsoft's search, compared with 14.4% who had used Google. Although Microsoft's Bing will be the search provider on seven new Android-powered Verizon phones, none of those models is part of Verizon's high-profile Droid line.
