Panel to propose that best STEM teachers be part of "master teacher corps"

The President's Council of Advisers on Science and Technology will recommend that President Barack Obama create a corps of master teachers in science, technology, engineering and math as part of a plan to improve STEM education, according to a panel co-chairman. The report is also expected to highlight the need for more federal technology funding to develop the "platforms" that teachers and students need.
