A two-store Dickey's Barbecue Pit franchise in North Carolina has created a growing catering business, stepping up its game to fine-dining standards for weddings and other big events. As post-recession consumers continue to trade dining out for hosting at home, more chains are looking to expand beyond their carryout business by investing more resources in catering programs, QSR Magazine reports.
