98% of Air Canada flight attendants vote in favor of strike

The Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents thousands of flight attendants at Air Canada, said that if a deal isn't reached with the airline next week, a strike is possible. Flight attendants could walk off the job as early as Sept. 21, according to the union. An Air Canada spokeswoman said the airline always has "contingency plans for a wide range of eventualities" when she was asked about what strike preparations the airline had.
