API to review proposed offshore-drilling rules

The American Petroleum Institute is looking forward to studying proposed offshore-drilling policies on worker safety and operational authority, which federal regulators say were based on lessons from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. "Any additions to already intricate regulatory processes should allow for new exploration and responsible development of our domestic offshore energy resources without unpredictable barriers or delays," said Erik Milito, API's upstream director.
