Can online learning help narrow the achievement gap?

Some education experts believe online learning can help hasten the narrowing of the racial- and socioeconomic-based achievement gaps in the nation's schools. Disrupting education's current structure and personalizing education through digital learning can help more children succeed faster, says Michael B. Horn, executive director of the Innosight Institute, who promoted this theory at a recent Seattle conference.
