Poll shows parents, children are reluctant to discuss obesity risks

A survey of 1,299 parents found 22% were uncomfortable discussing obesity risks with their children ages 8 to 17 and 19% believed the child's doctor should do it. The survey also found 72% of 1,078 children ages 8 to 17 say such a discussion would be more embarrassing to them than to their parents.
