Arkansas to grade 447,000 students using body fat as a factor

Arkansas is implementing the first statewide, comprehensive program to identify obese children by issuing health report cards next spring based on each child's body mass index. The state's campaign against childhood obesity includes reviewing school lunch programs, health and physical education and vending machine contracts to assess whether schools are promoting a healthy lifestyle.
