More older women now end up hospitalized after accidents than do young men, according to a recent report. The findings reversed the decades-old pattern, reflecting the growth in an elderly, frail population and new emergency techniques that keep young people from being hospitalized as often, researchers from the Harvard Injury Control Research Center found.
