WPP-Grey merger may result in client conflicts

The WPP Group's $1.52 billion acquisition of the Grey Global Group may come with some hitches, including serving clients that are competitors. Grey chairman and CEO Edward H. Meyer denies any conflicts of interest, but a look at the client rosters shows, for instance, that Grey works for telecom giant BellSouth while WPP's Young & Rubicam serves competitor AT&T Corp.
